Then, she treated women and children at one of the country’s leading integrative clinics for Anxiety, ADHD, and ASD.

Founder of Empowered Wellness, LLC she encourages others to take hold of their health in a motivating, and compassionate way.   Currently, she provides gut restoration programs out of Mercy Health Concierge Medicine, peak performance and recovery programs for athletes out of 8th Day Gym, and personalized medicine out of Healix Center.  In addition, she leads Corporate workshops, and is a guest speaker at Calvin University.

Passionate about anti-aging, stress management, hormone balancing, and anti-cancer strategies, she lives her own medicine by promoting a healthy lifestyle in the community by representing Clean Juice, KPS essentials, SweatNET GR, LA Miller, and Swet Sauna.

Janna’s Ten Tenants include:

  1. Identify the root cause, instead of simply putting a bandaid over symptoms

  2. The body is an integrated, connected, dynamic system

  3. Food is Medicine

  4. Movement is Medicine

  5. The body cannot be healed until the mind is healed first

  6. Treatment plans should be individualized to fit a person’s genetic make up & lifestyle

  7. The body inherently knows how to heal itself when given the right tools

  8. Being “healthy” means having a healthy mind, body, and spirit

  9. The doctor acts as the educator, but ultimately the patient is in the drivers seat

  10. Food, fitness, and functional medicine should be a fun
